I’m absolutely shocked to find there is only ONE legal nude beach in FL. Only one! What the hell? Why is nudity an issue when it involves consenting adults? I don’t understand…
because the people who aren’t okay with public nudity far outnumber the people who are okay with it, thus there need to be more beaches to accommodate the former.
also, lots of people don’t like the idea of a nude beach so close to theirs. what if their kid wanders off to the nude beach? what if they get lost and end up at the wrong beach, to find penises everywhere?
there are other reasons also. they might be unfounded or improbable, but more nude beaches is not a politically popular policy, and it’s not really on the minds of voters. most people are worried about taxes or the fact that orlando is the third most dangerous city in the nation, or school systems. nude beaches are sort of an afterthought.
but if it really bothers you, you should lobby congress.
You’d lobby your county commission, actually. They determine this. And if your kid gets lost/wanders to a nude beach, YOU FAIL AT PARENTING. Not to mention learning about human anatomy at an early age wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. It’s naturism, not erotica. Just my $.02.
